Last year we launched a number of groundbreaking new models and saw BMW reap more awards for making significant advances in the quest to produce more fuel-efficient, dynamic BMW cars within its class-leading model line-up. 

In May, we launched the BMW Z4, the first BMW roadster to feature a Retractable Hard-Top. In the autumn, we welcomed two further firsts, not just for BMW but for the automotive industry as a whole: the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo and the distinctive new BMW X1. We also unveiled the 555hp BMW X5 M and X6 M: the first BMW M cars to feature four-wheel drive. We also introduced a number of new models that truly showcase the latest BMW EfficientDynamics technologies: the BMW 116d and 316d ES Saloon and the BMW X1 sDrive18d SE, an SAV that achieves a remarkable 54.3mpg. With the 68.9mpg BMW 320d EfficientDynamics model launching here in March plus the new sixth-generation 5 Series Saloon, this year looks to be as exciting as last.
